Allstate Peterbilt Group has entered the world of NASCAR…kind of.

The Minnesota-based dealership network will supply Richard Petty Motorsports with Peterbilt 389 tractors for the organization’s Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series teams. The trucks will haul race cars and equipment for the No. 9 and No. 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup teams of Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola and the No. 43 NASCAR Nationwide team of Michael Annett.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with racing legend Richard Petty and his teams in 2013,” Tom Wentworth, General Sales Manager for APG, says. “We are proud to be providing our premier Peterbilt model 389 tractors to transport the race team as they compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide events.”

Allstate Peterbilt Group has 17 locations throughout the Midwest and more than 40 years experience with Peterbilt.

The three teams will log more than 200,000 miles this season as they transport each team racetracks over the course of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ 36-race, and the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ 33-race schedules.

“We are excited to team up with Allstate Peterbilt Group,” Richard Petty, NASCAR hall of famer and co-owner of Richard Petty Motorsports, says. “Similar to the Petty brand, Peterbilt is known for performance, reliability and pride, and it is comforting to know we can count on the reliability of Peterbilt and Allstate Peterbilt Group to help us deliver our race cars each and every weekend. Considering the amount of time our truck drivers spend on the road, it’s comforting to know they will be driving a quality product.”

The trucks are being pained and race trimmed this week.
