Arrow Truck Sales opens new Missouri location

Jason Cannon June 11, 2013

Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. announced expansion plans for its retail store network into the Springfield, Mo. market.

“We conducted comprehensive market research as we considered possible locations for expansion, and the Springfield market seemed to hold the greatest potential,” Steve Clough, President of Arrow, says. “As an added benefit, the site we’ve secured for the new store offers tremendous visibility to Interstate 44 – a major truck corridor between Springfield and St. Louis.”

“We’re occupying office space directly adjacent to Wick’s Trailers with plenty of parking space for trucks on the property, as well as access to 20 service bays for minor service work such as oil changes and jump starts,” said Paul Stephens, Branch Manager for Arrow’s Kansas City, Mo. store, and will also serve as the location’s Branch Manager.

According to both Stephens and Clough, the inventory mix at the new Springfield location will depend, largely, on market demand and will continue to be evaluated.

According to Stephens, the entire process has been a team effort. “The support I’ve received from Arrow staff and management at our Corporate Headquarters in Kansas City has been terrific! From site selection to securing inventory for the new location, I couldn’t have asked for more.”

“We’re thrilled about this opportunity and see it (Springfield) as a very good market for us – with plenty of upside for sales. And given its close proximity to our Kansas City branch, we also see operational synergies between the two locations, said Clough.

Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. has been in business since 1950 and is a member of The Volvo Group of Companies.
