CIT group launches mobile site, smartphone app

photoCIT Group has launched both a mobile site and smartphone app, hoping to easier reach its technically savvy customers.

The app, available free to iPhone and Android users, offers GPS guided directions and navigation to any of the company’s 13 Illinois locations, along with an activated phone dialer for one-touch calling.

Also available are current news and parts and service specials.

For those in the market for equipment, the app can direct users to a full listing of CIT’s truck inventory featuring new Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, and Mitsubishi trucks, in addition to the company’s current stock of used trucks.

For users in the job market, the company also posts vacancies.

“Want it to be a tool the customer can use,” Laura Nussbaum, CIT Marketing Coordinator says of the app. “Today’s driver is not the driver of 8 or 10 years ago. They are coming in with smartphones and iPads. They are engaging in technology.”

The mobile site can be accessed at m.cittrucks.com through the smartphone browser.

The app can be found in the app store by searching “CIT Group.”
