Commercial Truck Trader launches timed auction

Jason Cannon May 6, 2013

CommercialTruckTrader.com has partnered with Proxibid to create and launch Bid Trader Auctions, a project the companies claim will be the largest online auction platform in the marketplace.

Bid Trader launches May 14.

“Combining our Iron listings with Proxibid’s allows us to bring a huge amount of inventory to the auction buyer,” Lance Tebay, Vice President of Commercial Truck Trader, says. “We’re leveraging the power of Proxibid’s auction expertise to expose our dealer’s inventory to the auction world.”

The companies say BidTrader will feature Heavy Equipment and Iron units, as well as Class 1-8 trucks, including light duty and tractor trailers and sellers of inventory on CommercialTruckTrader.com will be able to move units to auction directly from their Trader account.

Dealers who are customers of Commercial Truck Trader will automatically be granted access BidTrader May 14 and can move units into auctions at that time. The first BidTrader auction is scheduled for July 11.
