Commercial Vehicle Group hires CAT’s Lavin

Jason Cannon May 24, 2013

Commercial Vehicle Group has appointed former Caterpillar executive Richard Lavin the company’s CEO.

Lavin succeeds Mervin Dunn, who announced his retirement in March, but remained at the helm until a successor was named.

Lavin most recently served as Caterpillar’s group president of construction industries and growth markets, responsible for the company’s earthmoving, excavation and building construction products divisions, and headed the company’s business in Japan and for construction machinery manufacturing operations in Asia, the Americas and Europe.
