Cottrell invests in machinery to boost trailer manufacturing capacity

Jason Cannon October 17, 2013

whitney machineCottrell recently took delivery of a new Whitney punch/plasma machine as part of a fourth quarter $1.6 million investment project to increase production capacity.

The company says the investment was made in an effort to stay ahead of industry demand in the trailer segment.

The Whitney machine will be coupled with a new hydraulic press feed line, which will be installed in November.

When complete, the company says the project will increase Cottrell’s sheet metal processing capacity to 12 trailers per day.
