CVOC to address correlation between technology, driver performance

CVOCA panel of leading executives from J & R Schugel Trucking, Maverick Transportation and Eaton Vehicle Group plan to discuss how technology improves driver performance at the fifth annual Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference, set for Aug. 20-21, 2014, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

The panel discussion includes Clay Merches, J & R Schugel vice president of safety and human resources; John Beering, senior vice president and general manager of Eaton Transmissions for Eaton Vehicle Group. Paul Menig, CEO of Tech-I-M will moderate the discussion.

According to CVOC, the panelists will discuss how technologies, including automated transmissions, driver management dashboards, in-cab cameras and fuel economy and safety advancements, are changing the way fleets manage their drivers for peak performance.

Presented jointly by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and Randall-Reilly, the Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference will be held prior to the opening of The Great American Trucking Show. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, followed by a networking lunch. A networking reception will be held immediately following the program on Wednesday evening. The conference will end at 11 a.m. on Thursday when The Great American Trucking Show opens.
