Diamond Companies, Roberts Truck Center names management team for merged business

Scott Gill, Chief Operating Officer for Diamond Companies, will manage the operational aspects of the soon-to-be-merged Diamond Companies and Roberts Truck Center, the companies announced jointly Thursday.

Gill has served as the COO of Diamond Companies since 1997, and in his new role will oversee three Regional Vice Presidents of Operations.

Allan Ash will direct operations in Texas and New Mexico. Dan Keefe will direct operations in Kansas and Oklahoma, and Gerald “Jerry” Schaefer will direct operations in Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee.

Duke Fancher has been named Vice President of Service. The Vice President of Parts and Vice President of Leasing will be announced at a later date and will also report to Gill.

The company has tabbed CPA and Roberts Truck Center Chief Financial Officer David Park to set financial policy and direction in support of the organization’s overall strategy. In addition, he will be responsible for financial administration, the business plan and budget. David began his career in the truck industry with the Roberts organization in 1978 and became the Controller for Roberts Truck Center in 1997 and CFO in 2001.

David graduated from West Texas A&M with degrees in Accounting and Finance.

The Corporate Controller and HR Director will be announced shortly and will report to Park.

Justin Fink, Senior Vice President, Truck Sales, will be lead all sales and marketing for the new organization. Before joining Diamond Companies to head truck sales in 2013, Justin was the Regional Vice President for the Navistar’s Southwest Sales Region. Randy Smith has been appointed Vice President of Used Truck Sales. Two Regional Vice Presidents of New Truck Sales, and the Marketing and Communications functions will be appointed soon and report to Fink.

Over the coming weeks, we will make further announcements as our new management structure takes shape,” Blaine Roberts, President of Roberts Truck Center; Blair Roberts, Vice President of Roberts Truck Center; and Richard Sweebe, President and CEO, Diamond Companies, said through a joint release.

The new company will be named and branded before the January 1, 2014 effective date.
