Diesel prices made an about face this week, falling for the first time in seven weeks.

This week’s price fell 2.9 cents to $4.13 a gallon, the Department of Energy said.

Diesel’s first drop since Jan. 14 put it still 3.6 cents over the same week last year, following a 26.5 cent run recently.
