Ervin Equipment has purchased 2,000 pre-owned Wabash Duraplate trailers from J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc., and says customers can purchase the trailers any of Ervin’s 12 locations. The company also says Ervin can adjust them on location to meet buyers’ specific needs.
Ervin says its U.S. sites cover 75 percent of the country to provide easy accessibility for 90 percent of the country’s trucking companies. The company’s unique business model allows it to buy and accept delivery of large quantities of trailers in one transaction. J.B. Hunt, meanwhile, is able to drop trailers in multiple locations.
Jeff Weber, Ervin’s vice president of sales and marketing, says because Ervin can store equipment in or close to customers’ facilities, the Wabash trailers will be a staple in a variety of storage and basic cartage applications for manufacturers, particularly those that perform short, regional hauls.
“It has become difficult to obtain pre-owned equipment in and around a desired location in a short period of time, but our company was founded to address these glitches,” he says. “We created a fast, fluid process that works for our customers, guaranteed.”
“We’re proud of the fact that one of the best trucking companies in the U.S. trusts Ervin and relies on us to buy its good, used equipment,” Weber adds. “They continue doing business with us because it’s simple, easy and convenient.”
Prior to selling any of the trailers, Ervin will check them thoroughly to ensure they exceed all federal requirements for equipment running in the United States.
