Ervin Equipment enters used truck market

Jason Cannon March 15, 2013

Ervin Equipment, Inc. has added a complete selection of used trucks to its existing selection of used and new trailers.

Ervin has been supplying used and new trailers for multiple industries for more than 30 years and has hired industry veteran Nick Herbst as a senior sales manager.

“The used vehicle market has always been very active,” Herbst said. “With fuel prices, the price of new technology as well as federal mandates and EPA regulations, the price of new equipment is shooting up. As a result, the demand for used equipment continues to grow. It’s our intention to provide our customers with fast access to large fleets of trucks – along with the trailers. ”

Herbst began his career at a GMC/Freightliner dealership, working in a variety of capacities and learning the multi- faceted trucking industry. He also managed a Great Dane trailer dealership.

Herbst says he expects the truck division’s customer base will be similar to that of the trailer division.
