Great Dane adds Montana dealer

Jason Cannon February 13, 2013

The former S&P Brake Supply has joined the Great Dane full-service dealer network.  The company, renamed Rocky Mountain Great Dane, is headquartered in Billings, Mont.

Joe Hoppman initially purchased S&P Brake Supply in 1991. The business grew from a Trailmobile parts dealer to a full-line dealer for Trailmobile, Western Star Trucks and Heil Tankers.  The Hoppmans, including Joe and his children, Matt and Melissa, now operate three service centers across multiple western states, with delivery available in northern Wyoming and central and eastern Montana.

“We are delighted to have a partner like Rocky Mountain Great Dane in the western region, where nearly all market segments are benefitting from the domestic oil boom,” said Chris Hammond, vice president of dealer and international sales at Great Dane. “The Hoppman family has a long history of providing outstanding sales support and service to a wide variety of customers, so we look forward to the strong relationship with them and to expanding Great Dane’s reach to new customers in this key area.”

Rocky Mountain Great Dane’s main facility in Billings will carry the full line of Great Dane trailers. The 45,000-square foot parts sales and service center has 15 drive-through bays for truck and trailer repair.

Sales, parts and service facilities are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The parts counter is also available on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mobile truck service, a driver’s lounge and financing are also available.
