The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) announces its Heavy Duty Manufacturer’s Representative Council (HDMRC) has elected five new officers and governors to its Board of Governors.

HDMA says the HDMRC board’s duty is to serve and to help fulfill the council’s mission.

The HDMRC board members begin their terms Jan. 1, 2015 and are as follows: Chairman Stephen Grace, president, Heavy Duty Marketing; Vice Chairman Paul Birkenstock, president, New Market Sales; Governors Joe Figueroa, president, LASCO; Robert “Bob” Hogue, president, Clark Sales; Tom Kitchin, president, Kitchin & Sons, Dan O’Connell, president, JJ O’Connell Company and Bob Atkinson, president, Atkinson Sales Company.

HDMA announces 2013-14 Chairman John Stojak, president, Sherman-Pearson Company will continue his current term until Dec 2014 and then will serve one year as Immediate Past Chair.

“2015 HDMRC Chairman Stephen Grace and Vice Chairman Paul Birkenstock have served as governors on the council’s charter board and will provide excellent, continuing leadership for the board and the members of this important group,” says Tim Kraus, president and COO of HDMA. “We sincerely thank the charter board chairman, John Stojak, for his leadership and focus in starting the council. We are very pleased to see HDMRC begin to flourish under the direction and leadership of the charter board. We are confident the incoming leadership has everything in place to continue to enhance the skills and image of HDMRC members in the Heavy Duty Commercial Vehicle market.”

With the new elections, the sevenmember Board of Governors for this council is now complete. The HDMRC currently has 22 member companies, each represented by a primary and an alternate representative at the bi-annual meetings, HDMA says.

The HDMRC is actively seeking to grow to 50 representatives from manufacturer’s representative firms.
