Hino dealer briefs execs on how to grow NA sales

Rochester Truck owner Donald Gagnon – one of Hino’s top North American dealers – recently led a delegation to Tokyo in order to help Hino map out a plan to grow its U.S. sales.

The New Hampshire-based Gagnon serves as president of the U.S. Hino dealership council, which represents 220 members.



Gagnon told fosters.com that he returned with guarantees that Toyota-owned Hino would expand its stateside product line, including offering more models and increasing horsepower in the units.

Gagnon, who told the website he expects to double the size of his dealership by 2017, became an exclusive Hino dealership in 2010.

Gagnon described the trip as ”first class all the way,” noting the customized dinner menus, flight with private sleeping compartment and car service.
