Idealease elects 2014 board

The shareholders of Idealease, Inc., elected their 2014 Board of Directors at the company’s 31st annual meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. last month.

Headquartered in North Barrington, Ill., Idealease is a full-service commercial truck leasing, commercial truck rental and truck maintenance company with 432 locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and a fleet of 45,000 trucks, tractors, and trailers.

Frederick “Fred” Scheler, president of Five Star Idealease (Harrisburg, Pa.), was elected to serve as Chairman of the Board of Idealease for 2014. Owen Donahue, president of Donahue Idealease (Ventura, Calif.) will serve as vice chairman for one year, followed by a one-year term as chairman in 2015.

Daniel J. Murphy was re-elected as president and CEO of Idealease, Inc. and Keric Kennedy was re-elected as executive vice president and COO. Traci Royal was re-elected as CFO. All three are corporate officers of Idealease, Inc.

Idealease shareholders also elected six regional representatives to serve two-year terms on the Idealease Board of Directors: Javier Amarante, president, Laguna Idealease (Torreon, Mexico); Rob Long, president, Carrier Idealease (Brantford, Ontario, Canada); Terry Minor, president, Cumberland Idealease, (Nashville, Tenn.); Scott McCandless, president, McCandless Idealease (Aurora, Colo.); William K. Reilley, president, Badgerland Idealease (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Fred Scheler, president, Five Star Idealease (Harrisburg, Pa.).

Serving the second year of their two-year terms on the Idealease board are: Owen Donahue, president, Donahue Idealease (Ventura, Calif.); Jeff Kirby, president, Altruck Idealease (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada); Richard Ryan, president, Carolina Idealease (Columbia, S.C.); Alan Steinberg, president, Salem Idealease, (Brooklyn, N.Y.); and Tom Vandehey, president, Idealease of Central Wisconsin (Marshfield, Wis.).

Following an extensive branding review in 2013, Idealease says it also introduced a new modern and dynamic logo at the meeting.

“The new logo will be used at all Idealease locations and on our vehicles as they deliver goods all over North America,” says Murphy. “Our 432 locations in North America are permanent fixtures in their communities and employ the most tenured personnel in the industry. Idealease provides expertise, responsiveness and stability that is unmatched in the commercial truck transportation industry.”
