International ProStars arrive in Russia via new dealer

Jason Cannon November 7, 2013

Navistar International Corporation said Thursday that Autotruck – the company’s newest dealer in Novosibirsk, Russia – began delivering International ProStar trucks.

The first round of deliveries follows the company’s announcement in September that it would offer its aero-nose tractor in the Russian market.

The company says the ProStar offers fleets and drivers the efficient power of a big bore engine with lighter weight components to maximize payload. Available in a 6×4 application with 430 horsepower and 1,550 lb,-ft. of torque,, aerodynamics contributes 50 percent to overall fuel economy, which make it critical that a vehicle is designed to minimize aerodynamic drag.

“Autotruck is excited to be a part of Navistar’s dealer network and we are committed to selling the International ProStar in Russia,” says Veniamin Korolev, president of Autotruck, LLC. “We are impressed with the many comfort features as well as the fuel savings of the ProStar and look forward to putting new customers into the driver’s seat.”

Navistar’s existing in-country dealer service network also includes locations that provide service coverage for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Ufa.
