JX Hino opens in Chicago

Lucas Deal October 9, 2013

JX 1After two decades, JX Enterprises has returned to the Hino brand.

The company reintroduced the brand to its dealer network Tuesday with the opening of JX Hino – Chicago, adjacent to its JX Peterbilt Bolingbrook facility in the southwestern Chicago suburb.

JX Enterprises operated Hino facilities in Wisconsin during the 1990s, and Kurt Jorgensen, vice president of sales, says the business is excited about reintegrating the medium-duty nameplate into its business.

“It’s nice to have [Hino] back,” he says. “Toyota is a high-quality manufacturer and we believe Hino is a great addition (to the company.)”

JX Hino – Chicago will operate from a new expanded location at 535 E South Frontage Rd., Bolingbrook in conjunction with the company’s Peterbilt operation. JX Hino – Chicago will be led by Cary Gallien, general manager. The full-service dealership is one of four JX Enterprise locations in the Chicagoland area.

Jorgensen says the company believes Hino’s popularity in the pickup and delivery markets should complement Peterbilt’s on-highway business, and says the company hopes the new location in Bolingbrook leads to more Hino expansion throughout JX Enterprises’ 16 locations.

“We’re always open to opportunities and chances for growth,” he says.
