Mack Trucks To Appear On National Geographic Channel

Denise Rondini July 23, 2012

Mack Trucks will appear this week on National Geographic Channel’s new series America’s Lost Treasures. The episode, featuring a fully restored 1963 Mack B-813 model, airs July 25 (9-10 P.M. ET/PT).

During production, America’s Lost Treasures host Curt Doussett and the truck’s owner visited the Mack Trucks Historical Museum at the Mack Customer Center in Allentown, Pa. to meet with museum curator Don Schumaker for an assessment of the truck.

“The truck is immaculate. By far, this has to be one of the most perfect restorations,” says Schumaker, who estimated only about 30 of the 930 B-813 models originally produced still exist and are restored. “You almost have to look at something like this as being priceless.”
