Polar Tank Trailer announces staff changes

Jason Cannon February 28, 2013

Polar Tank Trailer has named John Koll director of product management, a new department created to improve the company’s existing line of tank trailers, and to identify opportunities to develop new products.

Polar says Koll will lead a team of managers that will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and sales to oversee the entire line of Polar Tank Trailer products.

“Under John’s direction, this team’s mission is to ensure that the trailers we engineer and build are meeting the exacting needs of our customers today and in the future,” says Jim Painter, president of Polar Tank Trailer. “This is an exciting, progressive position within Polar, and John is the right person to lead this effort.”

To replace Koll, the company has hired Don Olson as Western regional sales manager. Olson will be responsible for new equipment sales in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, and for used equipment sales in these states as well as in New Mexico and Colorado.

“Don has a wealth of experience in the tank industry and his strong relationships among dry and liquid bulk fleets in the West will be instrumental as we expand our business in the region,” Painter says.
