Summit Truck Group appoints new Memphis service manager

Summit Truck Group recently hired David Lund as their new service manager in Memphis, Tenn.

Lund has an extensive background in service management for small to very large commercial truck dealerships in the western United States. In addition, he is a 1981 graduate of the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Southern California and has served as an instructor at the institute, a nationwide provider of technical education training for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians.

“With his diverse background, and his ability to grow and build employee and customer relationships, David is well suited to help drive our direction and implement our growth plans for our Memphis dealership,” says Jerry Schaefer, Regional Vice President.

“I believe in accurate and effective communication that builds strong teams, and leading by example,” says Lund. “I look forward to helping the Memphis dealership of Summit Truck Group deliver a higher standard of value to our customers, employees, and the Memphis community.”

Lund has three sons and resides in Cordova, Tenn.

Summit Truck Group is an operating unit of Summit Holdings with 29 commercial truck and bus dealerships in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
