The No. 8 most popular Successful Dealer article came in February following news that Rush enterprises set a new record for revenue.
When the company finally closed the books on 2012, Rush – which operates one of the largest networks of commercial vehicle dealerships in North America – reported a net income of $62.5 million on record annual revenues of $3.1 billion.
That was an 11 percent increase in net income over 2011.
The year-end results tempered a tough fourth quarter with gross revenues totaling $732.3 million, a 5.6 percent decrease from gross revenues of $776.1 million reported in 4Q 2011.
Rush has built on that success through much of 2013, posting strong quarterly performances through the year’s first three quarters.
“Our strong truck sales are the direct result of our ability to successfully offer a diverse product line-up across a wide variety of market segments across a large geographic network,” Rusty Rush, Chief Executive Officer and President of Rush Enterprises, Inc. said at the time of the announcement.
