Train Trailer, WestVan announce merger

Jason Cannon July 12, 2013

Semi-trailer rental companies Train Trailer and WestVan announced plans to fold their brands together and operate under a singular brand, Train Trailer.

Company officials says the newly reconfigured Train Trailer can provide a more expansive list of services with a larger fleet of equipment, with more autonomy at the manager level which the company says “delivers higher service levels, quicker response times and on-the-spot resolution to address any and all customer concerns.”

Along with a brand new, full service facility in Canada’s Cornwall, Ontario, two key positions have been created.

Matt Kelly will lead western operations as Train Trailer’s new Western Regional Manager. Wayne Rapelie has been promoted to the position of VP of Business Development and will be responsible for sales and customer relations on a national basis.
