TransPower, Inc. has announced a new venture that is a spin-off company of its truck dealership.

TransPro Equipment Sales, LLC has been formed to cater to the private and municipal sectors of the refuse market in southern Georgia. Specializing in refuse bodies the new company represents Wayne refuse bodies, Galbreath roll-off hoist and hook lifts, Peterson Lightning Loaders, and SwapLoader hook lifts currently, although TransPro says it anticipates many other lines as opportunities present themselves.

TransPro Equipment Sales, LLC will cover the southern Georgia market from the Macon to the Florida and Alabama state lines.

“We are very excited about this new venture and look forward to working with the equipment manufactures and end users in our territory. This creates many unique opportunities that compliment both the dealership and TransPro Equipment Sales, LLC,” says Ed Birkitt, president at TransPro Equipment Sales.

TransPower, Inc. is a Mack, Kenworth, and Ford truck dealership that also carries the East and Peerless trailer lines. TransPower has been in business since 1959 and is owned by former Lt. Governor, Mark Taylor who also will function as CEO of TransPro Equipment Sales, LLC. TransPower Inc. currently operates four locations in Albany, Douglas, Valdosta, and Tifton, Ga.
