Travis celebrating 25 years

Jason Cannon July 1, 2014

Travis Body & Trailer is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Formed in 1989 after acquiring the assets of CMC Trailers, Inc., Travis has manufactured more than 13,000 trailers since its beginning and has grown to be a “Top 30” US trailer manufacturer.

Today, Travis is represented by more than 30 independent dealers, with approximately 50 locations in 23 states.

This year, Travis is embarking on an expansion of its Houston facility by 50 percent, which is expected to be in full operation in early 2015.

“We are proud of our outstanding staff of over 140 dedicated people, who create the trailers that have resulted in our outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty,” Bud Hughes, president of Travis, says. “We thank all of our customers throughout our 25 year history, and our outstanding independent dealer network who have made our success possible.  These relationships are critical as we embark on this large expansion to our facility.”
