USA Truck receives 5,000th Freightliner

Jason Cannon June 24, 2013

Last week, Freightliner Trucks presented USA Truck with its 5,000th Freightliner tractor.

The delivery was celebrated during a special ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Van Buren, Ark.

The milestone truck was a Cascadia 125-inch sleeper equipped with a Detroit DD15 TC engine and features decals on the driver’s door that not only mark the milestone, but also commemorating the long-term relationship between the two companies with the words, “Strong Relationships Last a Lifetime.”

“Our relationship with Freightliner spans more than 25 years and is a testament to our business’ understanding of each other’s needs,” said Burton Weis, Vice President, Human Resources for USA Truck.

USA Truck, a dry van truckload carrier celebrating its 30th year in business, first partnered with Freightliner Trucks in 1988, when it purchased its first Freightliner model.

The 5,000th truck will be driven by longtime USA Truck driver Eddie Wilson. Wilson, a 28-year USA Truck employee, is a Gold Member of the company’s President’s Million Mile Club with more than 3 million safe driving miles.
