Roehl Transport, Inc. and ATDynamics, Inc. announce Roehl will expand its investment in TrailerTail aerodynamics technology by installing 500 TrailerTails on new trailers ordered from Wabash National in 2013.
“Roehl’s on-road testing confirmed the fuel savings benefit and durability of TrailerTail technology. Drivers understand that in addition to saving fuel, aerodynamic trailers are safer, handle better in high winds and reduce dangerous road spray,” says Rick Roehl, president of Roehl Transport.
“Roehl has successfully served its customers for more than 50 years through its commitment to customer service, technology innovation and safety,” says Kyle Houston, vice president of sales for ATDynamics. “We are privileged to provide our TrailerTail technology to such a respected leader in the trucking industry.”
ATDynamics says the deployment of 500 additional TrailerTails by Roehl will offset the fuel consumption and carbon emissions equivalent to taking approximately 500 passenger vehicles off the road. This is a powerful demonstration of Roehl’s commitment to fuel efficiency and environmental responsibility, the company says.
