Haldex has been awarded standard position for the Haldex Automatic Brake Adjuster (ABA) for all S-Cam Brake Assemblies for International Class 8 tractors (LT, RH and Lonestar series).
“We value our partnership with Navistar and the confidence they have in our industry leading clearance sensing brake adjuster,” says Walter Frankiewicz, president of Haldex North America and senior vice president, Haldex North American Sales.
The Haldex ABA is the world’s most specified and trusted automatic brake adjuster. In fact, year after year, in market after market, Haldex says its Haldex Automatic Brake Adjusters outsell all other brands. Haldex ABAs are designed and built better, beginning with clearance-sensing technology that was pioneered by Haldex over 40 years ago.
Haldex says its Haldex ABAs incorporate design features that provide reliable and accurate brake adjustment longer. The unique, fully sealed control arm eliminates the exposed linkage and rubber boots of linkage style adjusters, improving durability and reliability. Its clearance-sensing design prevents excessive brake wear and failed roadside inspections, which reduces operating and downtime costs, the company says. It adjusts during brake release, when forces on the adjuster are at their lowest, to prolong life. Plus, the versatile Haldex design is available to fit more applications than any other adjuster, the company adds.
