The Pete Store, a Peterbilt dealer group with 11 full-service locations from Delaware to Georgia, will serve as primary sponsor for driver David Gilliland’s No. 38 Front Row Motorsports car in this weekend’s NASCAR race at Dover.
“I feel like Dover is probably the most physically demanding track we go to, and it’s one of my favorite racetracks,” Gilliland says. “It’s a lot of fun and has one of the highest sensations of speed of anywhere we go. I’m really looking forward to it, because everywhere we’ve gone this year seems so much faster with the new rule package and the cars being lower. So, your sensation of speed is up already, and it’s always been up at Dover. So, I’m eager to get there with our Pete Store Ford and see what it’s like.”
“This will be The Pete Store’s first time back on our car this year, and it should be a good one. I’ve sat and watched a race at Dover, watching the cars dive off the corners, and then got in the car and ran some laps. And it feels 10 times worse than it looks. It’s like driving off into a hole. But it’s always a really cool race to watch.”
In six races this season, Gilliland’s best finish is 20th at Richmond.
