Wabash National is showcasing its revolutionary new trailer side wall bonding offering this week at the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) annual meeting in Nashville.
According to Wabash, bonding side and front trailer panels together provides the strongest, tightest and smoothest trailer side walls in the industry. Bonding eliminates the need to rivet together panels, and Wabash says each connection between panels using bonding eliminates the use of 250 rivets.
Wabash National’s display at TMC features a 33 ft. box trailer completely bonded on the exterior, interior and front walls.
Wabash’s display trailer at TMC features 7.5 mm bonded DuraPlate composite sidewalls, 6 mm DuraPlate composite roof, 7.5 mm bonded DuraPlate composite nose. It also includes bonded intermediate logistics.
The first of its kind in the industry, Wabash says it hopes to begin offering the bonding technology industry wide in the coming year.
